As a throwback to artisanal European tilework, the Merola Tile Revival Leaf 7-3/4 in. x 7-3/4 in. Ceramic Floor and Wall Tile offers a blend of complementing colors in an encaustic pattern. A warm burnt orange is tempered by Egyptian blue, forming a pleasing, fluid geometric pattern. Soft, simplistic arcs create the old-world pattern to reflect European designs. Capturing a sought after designer look, this pattern is great for bringing a custom look to your home for less. The white glaze in the center provides a stark contrast and emphasizes the sloping lines in the piece. Beautiful pattern but our tile guy said it's not for wallWe chose this for our kitchen backsplash and it looks great, but our installer had a devil of a time cutting it without having chips on the edges. He said it was intended for floor and it's harder with a thinner surface than wall tile. So we have a few chipped edges that are visible. (BTW we used this brand tile on the bathroom floor and it looks fantastic.). Live and learn.
