Nice Tiles
Here's the lowdown on these tiles. If you have an area that is straight line and doesn't need a lot of cuts this is a product for you. If you need to do a lot of cutting etc, in case where walls sloop especially, then I would go another route. Straight cuts are pretty easy using a utility knife and a pliers, once you make the cut with the knife on both sides, then take the fliers and work it back and forth until it breaks off. Now if you didn't cut enough off and you need a bit more trims off, your only option is to trim it down with the utility knife which could take some time. So please make the correct cut the first time. Also each piece has a plastic sheeting on the top. It may not look like it, but there is.
When I took mine out of the packet some had writing on them, I almost took them back to the store, but when I looked more closely, they are plastic protective sheeting over the front. Also, once these things stick they are not moving. So line them up correctly before you drop it in place. Good Luck. Once again if you don't need cuts, or just a few straight cuts, its a great product.

I have mixed feelings about these tiles. We installed these in our kitchen as a backsplash about four years ago. They look absolutely beautiful everywhere except behind the sink.
Over time, these tiles do not stand up to water splashes. We try to keep them clean as much as possible, but they developed permanent water stains on the surface and the edges of the tiles have corroded and look like they have been chewed away.
There is no way to remove the tiles without damaging the drywall, so we have been left with about a 3 ft by 1 ft section which looks weathered and ugly compared to the other walls. We are still trying to find a solution to cover up this section without removing the tiles, while matching the rest of the installation.

Lovely colour but a nightmare..........
Tiles are a beautiful colour. They are easy to apply once you have got each one seated into the trim - if using the trim. ( would not recommend unless you really need to)
However cutting the tiles is a different matter. Nightmare.
Once again the advertising does not reflect an accurate description of the level of competency required to use this product. If no cutting around plug sockets, corners etc., is required then hey ho and away you go , but if shaping is required be prepared to splash out on a chop saw if you haven't got one. Using a chop saw is the only way you can make a decent cut.
I really love the tiles but cutting them. Ye Gods!!

Very nice backsplash solution that doesn't require the traditional tile work. Looks great in my bathroom. As the instructions say, don't truly press the tiles into place until you are sure of your placement. They won't come off!

Great product, easy to cut and install
These tiles look like real copper. I used them as a back splash in a bar area with a real copper countertop, and they are indistinguishable from the real copper. They are also very easy to cut with a box cutter and some clamps.
The only warning I would give someone is that once you touch these to the wall, they are pretty much stuck there. This could be viewed as a positive of course. When i was testing them, i tried to remove one from a piece of wood and could not do so even with a hammer. So make sure you know where you're putting them because there are no second chances. The instructions they came with say that you can remove them up to 2 minutes after applying them,. but in my experience, once they touch the wall they are stuck there for good. Measure twice, stick once people!

Classy easy backsplash
If you are looking for an easy way to brighten up a room, these self stick metal tiles are great. It was easy to cut and apply. A variety of patterns are included in the dierections. We modified one pattern to meet our needs. We choose copper for our kitchen, but the other colors look nice too. A word of caution, once the tiles is put on it can not be moved, but you can pop it off if you act quickly. We are very happy with the new look these tiles have made to the kitchen. Only time will tell how well they stay up and wash.

Fast and Easy
We wanted something that would accent the stainless steel appliances, and be low maintenance. It seemed the wife was always cleaning the white popcorn paint, and we were watching it slowly come off on the towels while cleaning. The builder wasn't exactly a pro when it came to drywall, so there were some areas that weren't quite flat. Looking through the local Home Depot we saw these. We looked at a couple other options, but thought these were the best choice.
I took my time, and did it over 4 days, about 2 hours each day. Cutting around the electrical boxes took the longest time. I had one section that took 40 tiles where there wasn't any electrical boxes, and had that section done in less than 10 minutes. The slow part came when I had to cut the tiles to go around the electrical boxes, for the finishing touches, and ends. I was going about 1 tile every 5-8 minutes for those areas.
They are a layer of stainless steel applied to about 1/8" of plastic with an adhesive backing.
1. They recommend using an adhesive when applying them over an uneven surface. Take that advice.
2. They recommend a chop saw. I took my time using a Dremel, and had no problems. The cuts were straight, and everything lined up perfectly.
3. They recommend removing the clear protective coating before installing the tile. I recommend keeping it on until you're done marking, measuring , and cutting.
When you are going around an electrical box with either a switch or outlet, make sure you cut the tile so they will rest on the tile once installed. Measure and cut the tile so it outlines the electrical box. Remove power from the circuit. remove the switch or outlet from the electrical box. Install the tile. Re-install the switch or outlet. restore power to the circuit. If you don't cut the tile so the switch or outlet rest on the tile, they will be about 3/16" recessed from the face of the cover plate.
After I finished the stainless steel tiles seemed a little dark. We cleaned them with glass cleaner, and it helped quite a bit.
Last thing I have to do is seal around the base where the tiles meet the granite countertop, and on the top edges. I installed the tiles on the kitchen window ledge behind the sink, so I have an outside corner there. I used white caulking to seal it, and it looks good. clear for the countertop, and white for the top edge, and it's complete.

GORGEOUS PRODUCT
These wall tiles were very easy to work with. My original intention was to use them only as a backsplash, But when I saw how great they looked, I purchased more and installed them on the entire wall. By mixing the short grain with the long grain, the texture really comes through. They were very easy to cut and install. I really liked the fact that I did not have to grout them. The overall look is stunning with the copper farm house sink. I would recommend these to any DIYer with little tiling experience.
