This is 1/4 inch outer measure. This will not fit over 1/4 drywall for example.

The J channel was easy to cut and to install....The J channel was easy to cut and to install. The only down fall it is short in length. they only carry 4ft length. If considering make sure you order enough to cover. For using this product it is worth having.

Perfect Finishing TouchThe items were very well packaged (for the price, I can't imagine HD makes much money off of this product, bubble wrapped and shipped in a shipping tube for free). They arrived within 3 days of ordering and were absolutely the perfect finishing touch for my six panels of faux tin paneling. I wasn't sure I needed the edging, but for the price and ease of ordering-I am SO glad I did. They are wonderful and worth three times the price paid.
