Would not reccommend for backsplash material.
Purchased sheets of Fasade and related J trim promoted as ‘backsplash’. Appearance is complimentary to my new counter tops. AFTER purchase and cutting out prior to putting up, I learned that this product should not be subjected to a temperature higher than 140 degrees. And any appliance that generates heat needs to be placed 3-4 inches from this product. I do not know of any toaster, toaster oven, crock pot, coffee maker that functions below 140 degrees. Had I known this information prior to purchase and cutting to fit, I would never have purchased this.

A Backsplash that Wrinkles with Heat???
The Fasade backsplash was easy to install. It looked good, although, due to the diamond pattern, the seams show. The real problem was that we used an electric tea pot near it and the steam was enough to make the backsplash start to lose its shape. It caved in. We are currently trying to reach the manufacturer so that we can arrange a return. I don't recommend this product if you plan to use anything hot near it. And I can't imagine a kitchen without heat.

Excellent Product Very Good Rich Looking
Stongly recommend the use of paper templates/patterns. Transfer quilt lines from installed piece to template, line up with the next piece to be installed. Doing it this way I was able to get straight & contiguous quilt lines in all directions. Used double sided tape & recommend using 3 horizontal strips plus vertical strips at each side. Two vertical joins gave me problems (would not stick) used contact glue & Goo Gone for clean up. All AOK.

Backsplash
We removed an exhaust fan over our stove and closed up the hole leaving sort of a rough surface after the wall patch...this product worked nicely to cover it up and the stainless steel design gave it a nice look. It did come slightly bent in the mail since it came in thin 12x12 inch square cardboard so the packaging could be improved.

Design on a dime. DIY
I like my backsplash. I wish that the seams were less noticable. For the price you can't beat it. I liked that you could cut the product with sissors.
I wish it had more of a retro design, but i am happy.

Looks Great!
The contractor I had, Brian, did a great job installing the backsplash. It looks awesome with the new cabinets and countertops and really gives the kitchen some "pop". The backsplash is a little tricky to install because the plaster walls were not flat, but Brian made the backsplash look seamless.
