Pergo XP Southern Grey Oak laminate flooring is a sophisticated rustic oak with fashionable grey and brown tones. The authentic wood qualities, multi-gloss finish and Pergo’s technology of registered embossing matches texture with the underlying decorative pattern creating the look and feel of genuine wood floors. This 6-1/8 in. wide product emulates the premium look of single wood planks enhanced by a 4 sided bevel edge. XP products feature premium attached underlayment and PermaMax surface protection for double the wear and double the durability of ordinary laminates. ScratchGuard Advanced provides superior scratch and scuff protection. After all, there’s only one Pergo. Pergo XP products are rated AC4, approved for general commercial traffic, yet suitable for your home and have been tested for resistance to abrasion, impact, staining and cigarette burns. Each plank is 10 mm thick with a 2 mm attached underlayment. The patented click joint makes installation quick and easy, providing a secure fit. The limited lifetime residential and 5-year light commercial warranty, guarantees the top layer against wear through, staining or fading. Stunningly Beautiful! Brown/Beige Grey! Textured! Worth ordering online!
Remodeled our master bedroom with this product. Our contractor just installed it yesterday and it is literally stunningly beautiful. Really looks like real wood. Important note: It is more in the brown beige grey category rather than standard dark/light grey. I had the walls painted chocolate brown and beige. It really creates a warm cozy high end atmosphere. I had to pay $10 for a sample of it since it wasn't available in the stores. I thought that was a lot for a sample that is about the same size as the free laminate samples available in the stores. I guess in the end it was worth it because I ended up purchasing 17 cases. The product is also textured so it feels real. I purchased this product not just for looks but also durability. We have 2 huge dogs that have ruined and slipped on the glossy laminate flooring products. I'm hoping this product will be a perfect fit for us. HD ships it for free and it took several days longer than they originally projected so give yourself/contractor some time in between.

Took A ChanceI bought this flooring online because the local HD does not stock it, the price was right, and I liked the idea of a neutral color(gray) floor that would work with different color scenarios in different areas of the house. The actual product is a bit darker than what is shown in my opinion. After the floor was installed, the overall appearance was exactly what I wanted. It has beautifully embossed grain patterns that are subtle and not real "busy" and distracting. It has very low gloss. While having a nicely refined, clean and modern look, it is not pretentious and showy. It is more solid underfoot and quieter than 8mm flooring in my opinion. I bought just enough of this to trial in just one room. This is what I will put down in other areas of the house. I had no problems with installation due to product design and I recommend this to anyone who wants a floor that looks like old weathered oak barnwood.

We purchased this Pergo flooring when we were not able to match existing laminate. The existing was an off brand originally chosen soley for price point. Despite the off-brand and discount price we were more than pleased with it's durability. It had stood up to 4 large dogs and a family for more than 10 years and still looked great. After extensive searching we discover the flooring was no longer in production so we decided to upgrade to Pergo XP. We loved the look/feel and ease of installation w the Pergo, but before we had even completed 2 rooms we noticed chips along edges where just the surface (printed) layers lifted. None of these chips were there when we put the planks together but appeared after some foot traffic. This was not the result of improper installation or handling. We are experienced home renovators and had done a detailed surface prep before starting the install. To say the least we are disappointed, but having already laid about 700 sg feet w another 900 sg ft waiting to go before discovering the problem we chose to repair rather than rip it out and return it. Unfortunately the repair kit is, in my opinion, worthless. You're better off with some quality wood glue mixed with matching paint, seal and scuff GENTLY w fine sand paper when dry for a matte surface. The product on initial inspection is beautiful and looks better in person, but if Pergo wants to maintain their reputation in market they need to look into some quality control in their manufacturing. Our new floor is beautiful, but apparently we will have to maintain it with kid gloves.
