Pergo XP Smoked Hickory laminate flooring is a classic hickory enhanced with an authentic smoked effect accenting the natural grain. This 6-1/8 in. wide product mimics the premium look of single wood planks and has a four sided contrast bevel edge. This trend forward, new laminate offers a superior gloss finish, premium attached underlayment and PermaMax surface protection for double the wear and double the durability of ordinary laminates. ScratchGuard Advanced provides superior scratch and scuff protection. After all, there’s only one Pergo. Pergo XP products are rated AC4, approved for general commercial traffic, yet suitable for your home and have been tested for resistance to abrasion, impact, staining and cigarette burns. Each plank is 10 mm thick with a 2 mm attached underlayment. The patented click joint makes installation quick and easy, providing a secure fit. The limited lifetime residential and 5-year light commercial warranty, guarantees the top layer against wear through, staining or fading. Wear claim compared to standard AC3 laminate flooring and measured in accordance with NALFA/ANSI LF-01-2011 and/or EN13329:2006+A1:2008. California 93120 Phase 2 Compliant for Formaldehyde.

Pergo XP is a great product but not as easy to install as I anticipated. In the 27 boxes that I ordered, I found three pieces that the finish edge was chipped, and the box had no damage, so it must have happened in manufacture or packaging. I also encountered a couple of boxes where every piece had a sticky residue on the surface that had to be cleaned off. The floor turned out beautiful though after working around those two issues.

This is the 4th pallet Of Pergo XP Smoked Hickory...This is the 4th pallet Of Pergo XP Smoked Hickory I have bought. This is the best laminate flooring there is. It’s easy to put down and holds up excellent. I just absolutely love Home Depot for carrying such fantastic products.

We've had this laminate in our for a year now and are thrilled with it. It stands up wonderfully ...We've had this laminate in our for a year now and are thrilled with it. It stands up wonderfully against people, two cats and a dog, including many spills and dropped sharp objects. I have no complaints about its durability and am hopeful that it will continue to hold up well for many years to come.
I was concerned that it would appear too orange in our house, especially in our kitchen where we have burnt orange paint on the walls. However the smoked hickory pattern is absolutely beautiful and we get compliments on the flooring all the time. It completely transformed our entryway, dining room and kitchen. A great buy, especially given that we got it at quite a discounted sale price. We plan to use more of this flooring to redo our laundry, bath and garage entryway.

However, one very important and one of my main reasons for choosing this product was because of the ScratchGuard Advanced which is supposed to provide "superior scratch and scuff protection." I am very disappointed with this. This floor scratches VERY EASY. You can't slide anything on this floor unless there is fabric between the floor and what you are moving. My oak dining chairs didn't have pads on the bottom and the first slide of the chair scratched the floor. Our oak glider rocker got slid back without being picked up and set down and it too left a long scratch in the floor. This floor definitely DOES NOT have superior scratch and scuff protection! I am not sure what will happen with pets in the house. I rated this floor with 3 stars because it looks beautiful, installs easy and cleans up great, but having to worry about it scratching so easily really sucks...that's why I didn't go with real wood. And the worst part is you can't sand this down and refinish it. I am currently in the market for an awesome product that can cover/repair scratches in this laminate floor.
