Just put the rug down and it is thick and gorgeous. No smell and it layed down perfectly. Arrived one day early. Study the carpet carefully when it arrives. The packaging on mine was torn and the bottom of the rug was dirty in some areas. If you want a closer color to the actual rug on the HD website, look at the photo of the runner, not the area rugs. Colors include: red, gold, light and dark royal blue, beige, cream, bright green. I am very pleased with the quality and purchase. A felt rug pad is recommended so I ordered one separately.

The rug arrived in a timely fashion and is a...The rug arrived in a timely fashion and is a lovely addition to our decor. Unfortunately, it had a 1” tear in the corner of the rug which we discovered when we opened the packaging. We chose not to try to go through the return process and simply put that corner under the love seat.

It's not as bright red, but rather a deeper rustier red. The green is less green apple and more avocado. The pattern is also different with fewer elements.

Love this rug!I wanted something bright for a room with neutral furniture (khaki sofa, etc.). Right now, it is on carpeting, but we will install a wood floor later, so I had to consider that, as well.
It is wonderful. As usual, everything I have bought from this web site is top quality. The picture in the catalog was very true to colors (on-line and in the hard copy). It arrived quickly, packaged nicely, and we rolled it right out into the room.
The only thing of which you need to be aware is that it will shed red fuzz for a little while. But, this is typical of rugs, and there was a "warning" about this somewhere in the literature. We have just vacuumed it up, and know it will stop soon.
While this looks like an older design, it could actually be used in any decor. My house is mixed with antiques, casual, and traditional furniture. Just select it for the colors, and know it will work in any room.

The carpet is exquisite made with fine quality wool and...The carpet is exquisite made with fine quality wool and hand work. It is lined and does not stain my white hall carpet. The colors are great and it is soooo comfortable to walk on.
The only problem is that they did not know how to honor my AMEX/Home Depot $25 gift certificate.
