So far, the product seems to be great! The look and feel are wonderful. It's easy to keep clean with a Swiffer-type pad. The flooring has been down about 2 months now, and has held up great so far in high traffic areas, and with general water spills.
I would have given it five stars, but it was not as easy to install for a DIYer as advertised. Though I don't do much anymore, I have a background in home improvement. This installation took quite a bit of know-how and if it had not been for that previous experience with carpentry/use of tools and equipment, then it would not have been DIY project. It was also pretty labor intensive, taking about 2 and 1/2 days to complete about 700 sq ft. In a wide open room, it went quickly, but cutting in a wall, partition, or hall took lots of measuring and cutting, and frankly, a good bit of physical strength. I guess that could be expected of any flooring project, though. I still lack sealing it in the kitchen area (doing this weekend), then installing the base molding, and then I should be done. So far, it has met our expectations!

Padding on the flooring delaminates far to easily with most pieces coming loose as they were taken out of the box. Multiple pieces chipped during normal installation so I ended up creating sacrificial pieces to use the tapping blocks on.

The color looks somewhat greenish when placed on floor in low light conditions. Upon read g a lot of reviews I returned it. Apparently this floor has issues of not withstanding liquids even for short periods of time.

Be sure
Product is nice but if you get from Home Depot, please know they consider this a special order item. For me that meant after buying 75 casees they dropped the price almost 5 dollars per case but would not price adjust . They wanted me to return them all and rebuy at the better price. I like the product but not the customer service. The price changed the next day. So make be aware of what the consider to be “special order” cause it isn’t listed that way.

First, this flooring LOOKS amazing. We have it throughout the entire main level of our home (minus bathrooms) including main living space, kitchen/dining and bedrooms. It looks great! We love the wider plank, the textured look and how it was relatively easy to install. I love that it has the smoke grey accents to the brown so that it really pairs nice with any paint color / shade.
That said, we are SHOCKED at the very poor durability! We have had this down for under two months and we have had to deal with dents and chips throughout the house. Just a week or so after we finished the kitchen/dining area, a glass was accidentally knocked off the counter. We were disappointed to notice a pretty decent gouge out of the floor with other small dents surrounding it. This was an average 16 ounce drinking glass. Not anything ultra heavy or dropped from an exceptional height. This has happened again since then - actually just yesterday with a similar situation. These are marks that we are tentatively leaving just because pulling all of it up to get to those places to replace the planks is a lot of work, but we also had many that we did in fact pull up and replace as we were laying it. We actually "wasted" numerous planks right out of the box because they arrived chipped. So we understand that marks and wear will happen, but this is rated an AC4, which is said to be suitable for residential and light commercial use. I simply cannot imagine this being used in any commercial setting if it cannot even withstand a basic residential setting. We are not "wild and crazy," but we are a family of five with three (actually comparatively calm and well behaved) children ages 6 and under as well as two dogs. We were hoping to find something durable enough to withstand average living without having to rip up and replace planks on a monthly basis to keep it looking presentable. We were encouraged to go with the Outlast+ because of quality, durability and the "spill protect" aspect, but the Allen and Roth laminate that we had put in our previous home actually held up exceptionally better.
We have called Pergo and they have instructed us to contact Home Depot because we purchased it through them. We have a call in and are waiting on a response, but the challenge is, what do we do from here? Say best case scenario from their end - they offer to replace our flooring... We already have "supposedly" the best quality laminate out there. What do they replace it with? The same quality? If they can show us something better, awesome - do we really rip up the entire house worth of laminate to replace it all after we finally got it down and are more settled? Honestly?, I doubt it would be offered to replace our entire floor. So maybe they will offer to replace the planks that are damaged...so we are left to pull up the flooring all the way to the damaged planks in several locations in our home? This is not ideal with our hectic lifestyle, not to mention that I am certain it will be a continuous process. Really, there is no good solution. I just wish we would have known the true quality before we have an entire house of Pergo Outlast+.
The actual Pergo website titled the Outlast+ as "Insanely durable, always beautiful." We beg to differ.
