I'm really happy with this area rug. It has a damask pattern, and is multi-directional, it looks...I'm really happy with this area rug. It has a damask pattern, and is multi-directional, it looks good when approached from either direction; lengthwise or width wise.
The rug has a high/low piled texture. The background is dark brown and is a low Berber-like weave, and the design is in a multi colored, longer cut pile, which adds nice contrast. The border of the rug is a lighter chocolate brown than the background brown. The damask pattern is a subtle blending of neutral silvery blues, light golds and siennas. It's kind of fadey with the color blending, which is what is popular in home decorating right now.
It's a nice way to freshen up or update your room or bedroom. Looks great, and the coloring and patterning is subtle and neutral enough to go with a lot of decorating styles and colors. I would say it's not a formal rug, but more of a relaxed style. Definitely recommend!!!

The runner was great, very pretty but I had to...The runner was great, very pretty but I had to return it because it looked too short in my 13' hall way. I thought I could make it work with a smaller mat at the entrance door (2'x3' rug) but it looked odd together. Would have otherwise kept it!

We placed it in front of the range in the kitchen, and it stays in place, cleans up nicely, and does not seem to deteriorate even after several thorough vacuumings. We have had several very nice compliments as well. The rug has colors that would make it place almost anywhere in the home. I will say that I would purchase one of the same make if we need another.

Beautiful RugThis rug is beautiful. I wanted something that was more of a shabby chic rug. This was the perfect choice. It's a very muted gray and ivory. However , it is thin so if you want a plush carpet this is not the rug for you.
