Transitional rug, reasonably priced
Got this rug a month ago for my family room. It came well packaged, wrapped in plastic sheet, with two end covers to protect the edges. The rug rolled almost flat instantly with slight wrinkle on one side (from where the rolling had started). Wrinkles were all gone by next morning. Some reviewers complained about a toxic smell. I did not smell anything bad. There was a new carpet smell that went away by the end of the week. The carpet feels soft on feet. They recommend using a rug pad, but I don't have one. Once it goes under the furniture, it stays in place. Rug pad will definitely make it feel more cushy. The soft part of the carpet has two colored fibers, more cream and less beige. The berber design has more beige and less cream. The carpet does not shed much even when I use a vacuum with beater bar. It cleans well too. Kids poured strawberry syrup on it. I was able to clean it up pretty well with some carpet cleaner and lot of elbow grease. Overall, good carpet...good value.
