We bought it at 30% off over the holidays and had it shipped to our home with free shipping. That was a great deal! This is NOT a soft rug to bury your feet in. It is scratchy and a natural fiber kinda' like straw. It looks great though if you like a natural looking product. It is a nice color without some green and tan. There is some kind of a backing on it but not latex. It's more like a fabric with little perforations. We wanted lighter carpet but couldn't afford it this year. I put this over the carpet to lighten up the room and it works. If we get new carpet this could easily work on the patio. They say these aren't really for outside use, but for what we paid for it I wouldn't worry about it.

While I really like the look of this rug, the seagrass splits off and breaks. I have a dog that ...While I really like the look of this rug, the seagrass splits off and breaks. I have a dog that walks on it and it is used everyday. I've had other fiber rugs here and that didn't happen. I will replace it with another type of of fiber--it will probably last 1 year.
