They look exactly like on the picture and I was very pleased since I was trying to match them to my existing carpet. They are easy to "throw down" and stay in place, but you can also add carpet tape for a more secure fit (I have kids and the dog going up and down the stairs). They feel great on your feet and provide noise reduction as well as saving the stairs from scratches from high traffic use. The price was great and a (so much) cheaper alternative than having to re-do the stairs every so often or having someone come out to lay a stairs runner. I would definitely recommend these :)

looks & feels good as expected, except does not stick to stairs as well as I hoped that it would....looks & feels good as expected, except does not stick to stairs as well as I hoped that it would. Will need to get some kind of rug adhesive.

I purchased these treads to place on wooden stairs so my dog could gain traction while climbing. ...I purchased these treads to place on wooden stairs so my dog could gain traction while climbing. Was skeptical at first because of the reasonable price, but this turned out to be unfounded. These treads work and look great. They absolutely do not slip and have been a huge help to my dog. Easy to vacuum. Haven't laundered yet but expect they will do well. Yes, I would recommend this product. I would buy more but my other set of steps are too narrow to accommodate them. Great value.
