Absolutely love this rug! Purchased 2 rugs for floor comfort while playing with our 9 month old. Completely fills family room. Extremely comfortable. Many compliments and similar opinions about comfort and quality. Note Black rug does have bits of gray. Not pure black. However gray does help to keep rug looking clean.

My Safavieh California Shag in beige was delivered very quickly....My Safavieh California Shag in beige was delivered very quickly. It was extremely heavy 11x15 so make sure you have help getting it into your house. Before I opened the heavy package up I had bought commercial carpet padding from Home Depot which is cheaper than the available cut size. After laying out the pad I put the folded rug in the middle of the pad. Once the package was opened I unfolded the rug on the pad while leaving the plastic under the rug so I could easily square it on the pad. It worked well, then I slid the plastic out from under the rug, made a few adjustments and it looked great. The color of the rug is not a solid creamy beige as shown by the picture, it has two different colors of strands throughout the rug, a darker beige color and a lighter beige color. It still looks terrific!! The shag is very thick and soft and I had no problem vacuuming the rug with my Kirby vacuum cleaner on the highest setting. This rug is beautiful and with the pad it makes it so lofty and comfortable to walk, sit or lay on. I am happy with my purchase and hope it holds up for years. Its a keeper!

Perfect ChoiceThis rug is absolutely beautiful. I was looking for a color that would go well with our new black sofas but still leave options for changing other colors. I knew Grey would be the best fit for us, but did not want a rug that was all one color and "blah." This rug is GORGEOUS! The twist and sheen of the threads give many variations: hi-lights and low-lights.
The rug we wanted had to be soft, yet I was worried as sometimes a manufacturer tries to make a rug so soft that it collects lint, threads, bits of paper, etc., and traps them... but that's not a problem with this rug.The feel and thickness of the nap make this rug so comfortable, that my family is torn between sitting or laying on the new sofas or sitting and laying on the new rug. It vacuums easily and comes out perfect every time.
I purchased a great rug pad from Home Depot as well (Internet # 203076294) and it works perfectly, giving a little extra cushion while protecting my wood floors. Could not be happier!

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME - Don't Hesitate to Purchase This One:) Thank You HOME DEPOT!!Well, let me tell you, I hemmed and hawed, so to speak, for days about buying this rug. I am SO glad i went with it. It is just gorgeous, and looks so much more expensive than it is. It rolled right out onto my living room floor. It did, at first, have some wrinkles in it, and I thought, oh no, it has to go back, but after sitting for just a short time, it was all smoothed out and looking fantastic! It even bounces right back after furniture sits on it. For example, we have one of those coffee tables that come up so that we can eat on it in front of the tv, so we move it towards us and away from us every time. No matter how long the table sits in one spot, the shag on the rug will come right back with just a rub over from my foot. There are no indentation marks. I will definitely be purchasing at least one more like this, if not a few more. You cannot beat the price or quality. My 4 shih tzu love it too, lol. You can see Suki's head in the picture:) It is nice and thick, and it vacuums well, and I use my steam mop on it every day. Thank you Home Depot!!!

Quality looks good but color is way off. Not sure if I am going to keep it. It's a large rug, so I don't know how easy the return will be. Ordered two counter height stools (fabric) by the same mfg (Safavieh) in navy. Again the quality is great but the color is more dark blue/grey. From a distance, the stools look charcoal color.

It's purple!!Honestly I didn't unwrap the entire rug because I needed to return it, but the packaging was torn enough that I could see that the color was definitely purple! Of course there are varying shades of periwinkle, but in my experience this is more purple than periwinkle. At the very least one should know that it is a purple periwinkle and not blue periwinkle.

The beiges and whites/off-whites blend beautifully and it feels grand under your feet - so thick and soft. This is my 5th Safavieh rug and it is the only brand I will buy having tried others that just did not measure up. It rolled out with no creases and laid flat immediately. Beautiful, sturdy addition to our bedroom.
