Looks better in person!!!
When I bought my house the previous owner had, from floor to ceiling cork board on a chimney stack in the Master bedroom. Eww! Once I ripped it off it looked even worse. Although this was an expensive alternative it was well worth it. I used Omnigrip that worked well. I also used antique white grout and a grout bag with a 3/8" tuck pointer, just make sure you seal the brick first! I couldn't be happier. The corners were a bit awkward but I think it was a combo of part uneven wall and part uneven brick but to compensate the brick has a worn look so no biggie. I also used a diamond wheel and it cut the thin brick very easily. I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend this. I am not a contractor or a professional just someone not afraid to tackle a project so any do-it-yourselfer can easily do this. Delivery was on time and only had two bricks that were broken and two that were cracked out of 3 boxes of corners and 6 boxes of flats. Awesomeness in a box...its like I have a new room

We did a complete remodel of our outdated kitchen. When we started, we knew we needed to pick out a back-splash type of material, but never thought brick. Then, as the project moved along, I happened to stumble upon the Brickweb product on the HomeDepot.com site, and knew almost immediately that was the winner. The idea of a brick wall as the focal point of our kitchen was perhaps one of the best ideas of the entire kitchen remodel. The install was fairly easy with the mesh on the back. Once up and grouted into place, we sealed it and called it a day. The size of our wall and back splash warranted this to be a nearly 3 day project, but it was worth it. The Brickweb Castle Gate wall is, by far, the focal point of our entire kitchen. Would recommend this to anyone with experience in putting up tiles or bricks as it was a bit more of a task than someone with no experience would want to handle.

Product looks great and is easy to install (5 Stars). Delivery (1 Stars). Make sure that you receive boxes in good condition and return if not. Approximately 25% of my delivery was severely damaged (sheets with 3 or more missing or broken bricks). Most if not all of the damaged sheets were not received in boxes, but rather sheets stacked on top of each other. Terribly inefficient to install when forced to sort through pallet to find good product to install and set large portions of bad product to the side. In addition, I was unable to complete project due to 25% waste as I purchased 10% (as recommended) and must now wait for new product to be delivered (estimated 9-14 days).

We used the Columbia Street. Final product looks great on the wall, it is a lot of work and a lot of prep, buyer beware. Use a stone rock sealer before you do your final grout. Make sure you buy about 10 plus percent more than you need some pieces come cracked and broken. This was a do-it-yourself project and I think I saved several thousand dollars. I use the Web Brick for the flats and Corners around my opening. Brick is easy to cut with a tile saw. I used sheetrock for my backer and primed all surfaces before putting on my Old Mill Brick Adhesive. Putting in a real brick fireplace may have been cheaper. But that was not an option for us. Measure twice cut once! Good luck.

I used specifically the Castle Gate as I loved the variation of colors in the picture. When I took the actual product out of the box, I couldn't have been more happy with it as it was EXACTLY what I was looking for! I did one wall in the wet bar downstairs to give it more of a Chicago pub vibe and also used it in my kitchen as a backsplash and above the cabinets to the ceiling to help set my kitchen off from the great room and to give it a more rustic appearance. It is very easy to apply...we did use screws under the top row to ensure the brick web wouldn't slip out of position. The only tedious part is applying the grout. If you're using the brick for the kitchen, don't forget to treat it afterward to avoid grease soaking into it...just a little FYI.

This a TON of work to do
I got this stuff because it is supposed to be faster/easier than working with regular bricks. We put up 18 boxes of this stuff on our front porch and it was a TON of work.
PASS #1: put up a "scratch coat" of adhesive over the plywood and let that harden.
PASS #2: put up the main coat of adhesive, properly grooved out, etc.
PASS #3: put up the bricks, cutting as necessary
PASS #4: put in the grout
We still have not done pass #4 yet.
Anyway, we worked and worked and WORKED to put this stuff up and found it pretty slow going. We also fund the stuff sags until the adhesive dries and hardens - so we used a pneumatic stapler to hold the bricks in place until it did. Makes for extra complication but it stopped the pieces from sliding down the wall.
Overall, we are happy with the results, and not sorry we went this route, but it was a TON of work. You should know that going in. I also think it was pretty expensive for what you get. Half of what they charge would be more reasonable.

Nice looking finish product
I ordered brick web on line as Home Depot does not have any of this product in store. It arrived promptly by delivery truck and driver asked where to place palate. Each of he five panels per box is very heavy and I had concerns about it adhering to the exterior plywood sheathing. The mortar recommended by brick web at Home Depot maws fantastic for adhering to the wall. Some of the bricks were not glued onto webbing straight. I was either able to remove them and reset on the wall individually or use a screw into the wall the tween bricks to hold in position while drying. The main issue I have was grout film removal. I sealed bricks prior to grouting and then used the Home Depot film removing products with no results. Muratic acid at Home Depot worked fairly well. I would recommend brick web to any one as this was my first time working with brick and following directions the final product looks great.

Looks Great Like Genuine Brick! Goes up easily. We used Omni Grip mastic to bond it to the wall. We used Type S mortar to fill in between the bricks using a tuck pointer and a brick jointer--much more work but it looks like a genuine brick wall, and we didn't want to seal it and change the color.
