The flooring is absolutely gorgeous when installed. I didn't have a chance to research it before purchase because I opted for it in store. I had been looking for sheet vinyl but fell in love when I saw this. I would normally check for durability by trying to see how easily it scratches, using a utility knife, etc, but the look of this flooring and the thickness of the plank over took me.
If you have children, pets, well, even if you walk on your floor, you do NOT want this product. It was scratched all to heck within a few days of installation. The chairs moving back and forth on it, even with protective pads, scratch it. The special bare floor cleaner that I bought for it scratches it, EVERYTHING scratches it. I suppose it is not super noticeable unless you look pretty closely, but I know it is there and I paid WAY TOO MUCH for this floor for this to be happening. I had cheap laminate before replacing with this and it was way more durable, not to mention less than half of the cost.

The best flooring value We've found
We can write about this flooring with the voice of experience. It is economical, durable, and above all, really beautiful.
About two years ago, we put in Allure flooring in a pine pattern into our great room, kitchen, and dining room. (about 1,200 square feet).
It took a bit of work because of some irregular wall shapes, but the result was stunning. Now after two years with farm traffic, 7 dogs, 5 cats, grandchildren, and other similar animals, it is still absolutely beautiful.
So we decided to remodel our bedroom and use the dark African flooring. The work was done in two easy days of work. The result is even more stunning than the pine finish.
Two words of caution:
1) Follow the directions - if you start wrong, you'll have immense problems
2) Before laying the floor, prepare the surface VERY CAREFULLY. Any tiny piece of debris may look ok when you lay the floor, but will be very visible to you and very annoying after a few months when the vinyl settles in.

When we originally purchased this flooring, we thought it was the type that locked together, rather than flooring that "sticks" together with adhesive edges. That's our mistake, we should have read the description better. We decided to still use it, since we had many boxes already delivered to our house. We laid this flooring down less than a year ago, followed the instructions to the letter, and now the floor pieces are starting to separate at the edges of the rooms they are in. It did NOT look like this when we laid it (I'm a perfectionist so it looked perfectly seamed together), but has separated over time. Granted, it is not separating in the middle of the rooms (which is used and seen the most) BUT this should not be happening, especially in LESS than a year. Does anyone know how to fix this? It looks terrible! I wish we would have gone with our gut and returned this for the flooring that locks together.

African Dark Wood Only Problem
I have purchased two other Allure Floormaster colors for installations I have done and I have been extremely happy with them. However, this color, African Dark Wood has a serious issue in my view. When installing the tiles lengthwise, you cannot get a decent transition between the planks. because of the very different look of the dark grainy wood and the light clear stripes on this, no matter how you try, you end up with a light streak transitioning right into the middle of a dark knot. This makes it look ridiculously fake and your eye is drawn right to that area immediately because it is so odd looking.
I thought perhaps there would be special instructions for this color that would solve the problem but there do not seem to be and no matter how we tried mixing the planks, we couldn't get an acceptable look.
On their own, the planks are gorgeous. But put down as a long floor the look is awful. Luckily I only ordered one box as a test and will be returning it.

Looks good, installs quickly, questionable durability.
I purchased this flooring to update our laundry room and adjoining bath. The product installs easily and looks good upon first installing it. My disapointment with the product lies in the claim of its durability. While it may structually hold up, its finish DOES NOT. The product seems to scratch very easy. I first noticed scratches simply from me moving the cardboard box that conains the product over a finished section. I had to be extreemly careful when placing the washer and dryer back in the room and the flooring has scratches after only a couple days of moving the laundry baskets across the floor. The manufacterures claim that the product "Is perfect for high traffic areas" is completely misleading. It is perfect if you like your floorin to be fraught with scratch marks all over it. I will live with the product, but I would NOT recomend it, to anyone. The Home Depot service was quick and fast on this product. My complaint lies with Allure Flooring, not the Home Depot.

LOVE THIS FLOORING
I am a older single lady who does not do any type of home remodeling. I waited three years to do my floors. I brought in three different people for quotes. The last gentleman was amazing and told me about this flooring. He explained how easy it was to lay and assured me that I could do this. I explained that I had no tools and he stated all I needed was a utility knife to score the flooring. I being very frustrated with my current floors decided to give it a try. I purchased the flooring online as they did not carry the color I choose in the store. The delivery came a week earlier that stated. (Which made me even more excited). Although it was time consuming (due to having a very large living room/ dining room combo), I love my new floors. They look beautiful. Many people have stopped by to see them and love them too. They are easy to keep clean. Very durable. and for the most part, VERY easy to install. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

This flooring is beautiful, it looks like a real wood floor. Spills and liquid clean right up. I purchased the Chestnut color. It was actually true to the appearance online, I am thrilled with the color. It was easy to install (I had someone do it for me, but he said it was easy and he is recommending it to his other customers.) We had a problem with half a box that was damaged. I called Customer Service and they gave me credit no questions asked. I would recommend ensuring you have some extra when you purchase, especially if you buy a color they don't stock in the store. But if you are looking for a great floor, you found it.
